This whole blog thing is new to me, so when I had to find blogs to follow I didn't know where to start. I looked through some blogs and found that some of them were really not what I was looking for. As I continued to search I decided I would follow: http://davidwarlick.com/2cents/, I like this blog because it's observations and experiences from an actual educator. I enjoyed searching around the blog and checking out the different categories at the top of the page. I also liked that 2 cents worth admits that he does not have all the answers, what a relief that this is a blog that values others opinions.
I also want to follow: http://blogs.scholastic.com/top_teaching/. I thought that the ideas provided in this blog were great. I also thought it was great to have so many contributors to the blog, that way you get multiple views.
Other blogs I explored:
http://www.techfridge.com/
http://mscofino.edublogs.org/
http://blogs.scholastic.com/top_teaching/ I like this website too. They have lots of good informations!
ReplyDeleteJeanell I am also following that blog! I really liked the many contributors and how easy it was too great around the site. I have only used a blog for sharing family type news so these educational blogs were a bit hard to me; there was so much information out there.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading some of the other blogs people are following, I think I might change my mind about what one I am following for the semester. I checked out the blog http://davidwarlick.com/2cents/ and it looks like a good one. He keeps it up-to-date, which I like. I even saw that he has a post about schools/teachers in Finland, which was particularly interesting to me as I am Finnish and get all excited whenever I see something about "the Homeland" (even though I have never been there! Ha ha!)
ReplyDeleteI think that this blog experience is going to be interesting with everyones different point of views. I think that it is interesting that a lot of people are following 2cents. It really is a cool blog. It is going to be fun to see everyones blog and I look forward to readign yours.
ReplyDeleteI also am new to blogging and had trouble finding where to start. I chose David Warlick's blog also as the one I am going to follow but after reading everyones blogs I might have to look up some of the blogs that were listed and follow one of them... there are so many blogs out there on education and technology it really surprised me.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time as well actually using a blog. I have set one up but never actually used it before. Interesting to read your experience.
